The Gloucester Warwickshire Railway has cancelled its diesel day which had been scheduled for December 27. None of the currently operational locos can generate train-heating, hence the decision by the GWR not to hold this regular event. Instead, there will be two days of mixed traction on 'mince pie specials' - December 29-30 with steam locos providing the train heating. An intensive service using the 'blue' timetable will be run.
