NR, Chiltern and Chinnor pull out the stops for Risborough's main line link!

The bufferstops separating the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway from the national network have been removed and preparations for the Mortons Media-supported Wolverton theme weekends at the heritage line are well underway, writes Phil Marsh. A partnership comprising Network Rail, Chiltern Railways (CR) and the C&PRR was expected to physically join the preserved line to the national network in a possession over the weekend of September 7-8. The work involves removing the buffers at Thame Junction and installing a track panel to close the gap during the possession arranged by NR. A temporary platform 4 at Princes Risborough is to be built by Wolverton-based Buckinghamshire Scaffolding Services in conjunction with C&PRR volunteers.
