NRM SIMULATOR TO RE-CREATE I26MPH RUN

Launched by the National Railway Museum on July 3 was the Mallard Experience, a state-of-the-art simulator ride using a high definition animated film to re-create No. 4468's record-breaking run. Visitors can get a real feel of the sights, sounds and smells of the world's fastest steam loco as it sets off from Barkston (see image on left) and races south in full colour. Prices are £5 adult, £4 children.There is also a static version for those who suffer from motion sickness.
