London Midland compensates passengers

The failure of London Midland to provide its advertised service in recent months - cancelling more than 1,000 trains due to a shortage of drivers - has resulted in the Department for Transport ordering the operator to compensate passengers. LM will be making 500,000 additional advance tickets available over the next two years, while season ticket holders get five days of free travel, as part of a ￡7million package of benefits.
