FRENCH Railways (SNCF) has withdrawn at least two of the Three Capitals' Class 373 Eurostar high-speed trains it had been using for domestic services in northern France. The trains were moved to store at Conflans-Jamy in Lorraine In September and it is expected that SNCF will sell them for scrapping in France. They have been replaced by newer double-deck TGVs on domestic services out of Paris Nord. SNCF still uses most of its shorter Class 373/3s (formerty known as'North of London'Eurostars) for domestic services In northern France, although these may also be replaced by newer trains in the next few years.
