J15 to debut as plain black Y14

The M&GN Society's Great Eastern Y14(neeJ15) 0-6-0 No. 7564 will be run-in at the East Lancashire Railway this autumn in plain matt black undercoat. Although the'bottom end'of the loco will already be carrying intricately lined pre-Grouping blue livery, the rest of the Stratford-built engine will not be fully finished until just before it returns to its North Norfolk Railway home in late September. Hopefully, it will run during the society's annual members'day on October 4. New cylinder liners were fitted to the Y14 in late-June as part of its major overhaul at Riley & Sons, Bury.
