SVR Prairie to South Devon

The South Devon Railway has booked a visit by the Severn Valley's Small Prairie No. 4566 for its early season event in 2015. The BR black-liveried 2-6-2T will arrive in mid-February and stay until early March. The visit covers half-term week and will also feature photo-charter work. The overhaul of Pannier No.6412 at Buckfastleigh should also be completed by then. Finished in a BR green livery and auto-fitted, the 0-6-0PT will give an additional fillip to the event. With Locomotive 5542 Ltd's Prairie No. 5542 available, plus Buckfastleigh residents Pannier No. L92(GWR No. 5786) and GWR 2251 class 0-6-0 No. 3205, along with diesels, the SDR seemed unlikely to hire an extra loco for its August 22-25 Rails & Ales event.
