The Fifty Fund has provided information on the status of its Severn Valley Railway-based fleet in mid-July. No. 50031 Hood was at Derby for bodywork repairs prior to a full repaint. It will then return to Kidderminster for an ETH/auxiliary generator swap. No.50035 Ark Royol, at Kidderminster, was having a control system fault investigated, with further testing work to be carried out, and has since returned to service. No. 50044 Exeter has had work slowed recently while efforts have been concentrated on the other locos. The replacement engine from Portugal requires setting up and plumbing before a fire-up can be attempted. This loco has received an overhauled ETH/auxiliary generator.
