'Janus' restoration makes progress at Foxfield

MEMBERS of the Industrial Diesel & Railway Preservation Group, together with Foxfield Railway volunteers, have been restoring ex-Shelton Steel Works 'Janus' 0-6-ODE Ludstone (Yorkshire 2868 of 1962) over the past couple of years. No. 1 engine was started up and the loco moved under its own power for the first time in almost 20 years on October 3.
