The Chasewater Railway's increasingly popular'Santa Specials'could see the debut of a long-term locomotive restoration in 2016, as owner Mark Sealey prepares for the final push to complete the project. Former Peckfield Colliery Hudswell, Clarke 0-6-OT No. S100 (1822/1949) has been a low priority in the restoration queue until recently, but with Hunslet 0-6-OST Holly Bank No. 3 (3783/1953) approaching the end of its current boiler ticket, the railway needs another six-coupled locomotive to work the heavier trains. A recent managerial reorganisation has allowed Mr Sealey to hand over much of the responsibilities he had as the CR's general manager, freeing him up to concentrate on No. S100 during the coming year.
