MEMBERS of Shed 47 Railway Restoration Group are developing a new 2ft-gauge railway at the site of the ex-Royal Naval Store Depot, Lathalmond. Shed 47 is part of the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, which bought about half the extensive RNSD Lathalmond site when it closed in 1971. Railway development at the site by Shed 47 group, centred on the original locomotive shed, has hitherto primarily been a standard gauge project, but early in 2016 the opportunity arose to acquire some 2ft-gauge track.
