Riley & Son to continue operation of Flying Scotsman

HEYWOOD-BASED Riley & Son (E) Ltd - owned and operated by Ian Riley - has been selected by the National Railway Museum (NRM) as the preferred custodian to operate and maintain its celebrity Gresley'A3' No. 60103 Flying Scotsman. Mr Riley has been operating the'A3'on behalf of the NRM since his company completed its £4.5million overhaul in January 2016, but the contract was due to expire at the end of 2017.
