KNOW YOUR LINES: No. 57 - Lavendon Narrow Gauge Railway

THE railway opened in 1989 and has been developed from the original 1,000ft, including balloon loop, to double that today, with sidings, signalling and station building. There are two diesel-hydraulics built by the railway: blue-liveried'Baby Deltic'No. D002 (c1991) and No. D5038, a Class 24 built 1989. There is one resident steam loco - a 'Romulus'type 0-4-0 tender loco - which is usually joined most running days by visiting No. 2 The Lady H, a Station Road Steam 'Stafford' class 0-4-OST.
