THE West Lancashire Light Railway (WLLR) has agreed to buy the land it occupies from its landlord, Henry Alty (Investments) LLP. And the WLLR has launched an urgent appeal to raise the £260,000 purchase cost. The railway is on part of a larger site being sold for housing, with ground clearance work having already started.
