For years law enforcement firearms instructors have been told, document... document... document. Good advice, but document what? Imagine if we attempted to document every possible factor of our firearms training. We would have to record the officer's name his pistol brand name, caliber, barrel length, serial number and model number. The ammunition caliber, bullet weight and lot number would have to be written down. Then there is the date, the day of the week, weather conditions and the time of day. Most of us could probably come up with at least 100 factors if we thought about it; taking this to the extreme, as well as to the ridiculous. Oh, don't forget wind speed and direction as well as the local barometric pressure!
