Pipe-laying project completed

A newly converted 130m pipe-laying vessel, Normand Seven, will shortly depart for Brazil to complete a contract laying flexible pipelines to a water depth of 2000m for Subsea 7. The task for the team at A&P Tyne was to install and commission all the operational pipe-laying equipment in an aggressive timeframe - the steel structures required to support this equipment and provide a working platform were over 800tonnes in weight alone.
