Kleven lands first SE Asia deal

Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven Maritime reports that it has secured its first South East Asian contract, having won an order to supply a multipurpose support vessel (MPSV) to Malaysia-based operator IES Pioneer. The vessel, which has been slated for delivery in September 2015, will be built to the specifications of MarinTeknikk's MT 6015 MPSV design, which comprises a 93.8m × 20m vessel with more than 1,000m~2 of working deck space and the capacity to accommodate up to 60 persons. Additional features include an active heave compensated offshore crane, rated 150tonnes, and a CAP 437-rated helideck. The vessel will also be fitted with firefighting equipment sufficient to meet FiFi Ⅱ stipulations and will be kitted out with the means to undertake ROV operations.
