Promar takes on first Damen PSV 3300

Swiss ship manager Promar has taken delivery of its first PSV, Mamola Reliance, which is intended for operation in the Gulf of Guinea, West Africa. Constructed at Damen Shipyards' Galati facility in Romania, to the specs of the builder's / designer s PSV 3300 class, the 80m × 16.2m × 6m vessel can carry up to 32 persons, including crew and passengers, and will operate at 13.5knots. Additional features include an oil-spill detection radar and the capability to launch and retrieve ROVs. Damen is currently completing Mamola Reliance's sister PSV, Mamola Defender, which is earmarked for delivery in August this year.
