Royal IHC rounds off pipelayer trio

Royal IHC has launched the last of three 550tonne top tension capacity pipelay vessels for Subsea 7. This newbuild, which has been christened Seven Cruzeiro, follows her identical sisters Seven RIO, which was delivered in August 2015, and Seven Sun, which was launched in December 2015. Each of the vessels in this series features an overall length of 145.9m, a moulded breadth of 30m and a depth of 13m from the main deck. Like her sisters, Seven Cruzeiro has a summer draught of 8.3m, an operational deadweight of 7,025tonnes (1 l,750tonnes max) and the capacity to accommodate up to 120 persons.
