Second Typhoon to be launched from UK

UK-based offshore wind farm support vessel operator Maritime Craft Services (Clyde) has returned to naval architect Ad Hoc Marine Design for a second boat developed to the particulars of Ad Hoe's 26m Typhoon class of SWATH crew transfer vessels (CTVs). The order for the forthcoming MCS SWATH 2 follows the delivery of the first-in-class MCS SWATH 1, which was delivered to MCS from Taiwanese construction yard Lung Teh Shipbuilding (LTS) in 2016. The vessel was developed to achieve a fine balance between slow-speed and loitering operations whilst serving the offshore wind farm, and high-speed transits when travelling between the wind farm and shore.
