US Navy and USCG partner on service life extension

The US Navy is partnering with the US Coast Guard (USCG) to execute a Service Life Extension Plan (SLEP) on up to five Yard Patrol (YP) 676 class training craft. The maintenance and modernisation work will be undertaken at the US Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, Maryland, and will allow the midshipmen at the US Naval Academy to continue training onboard the craft for years to come, as well as provide economic benefits to the Baltimore-Annapolis region.
