New request for DD-21 proposals from US Navy

The US Navy has released a revised draft request for proposals (RFP) for Phase Ⅰ of the 21st Century destroyer (DD-21). This phase of the acquisition strategy allows up to three industry teams to develop a DD-21 system concept design. Two of these teams will be allowed to proceed, to Phase Ⅱ. It is planned to build a total of 32 DD-21 warships eventually.
