New products from Renk

Anew department has been established within the German gear, transmissions, and bearings manufacturer Renk, in its special drive technology sector. This central gear technology unit will focus on R&D activities. At the same time, a number of new developments from the company have recently been launched. These include elastically-mounted gears with integrated thrust bearings. So far, these have been limited to a power of 8MW, and tests will begin at the start of 2007 aboard a yacht.
