MAN steps up with Burckhardt

MAN Diesel and Swiss reciprocating compressor maker Burckhardt Compression have concluded an agreement on a strategic partnership, the aim of which is to achieve a significant market share for the ME-GI propulsion system for LNG vessels.rnThe philosophy behind the ME-GI system is that it can alternatively be operated with natural gas or heavy fuel oil. The fuel gas compressor system, developed by Burckhardt Compression, will deliver boil-off gas (BOG) to MAN Diesel ME-GI engines for injection.
