Revised M 20 C marine engine flags new chapter in MaK long-stroke story

The MaK M 20 was introduced in 1992, the first of the new MaK medium-speed long stroke marine diesel generation today comprising the M 20, M 25, M 32 and M 43 engines. Since then, some 1,200 MaK M 20 engines have been sold -roughly 60% for genset usage and 40% for main propulsion. Almost half of these engines are operated with Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO). About 900 engines are now in service accounting for almost 20 million operating hours. It is a wealth of experience.
