This issue marks this magazine's 90th birthday. The first issue of The Motor Ship (as it was then) was published by Temple Press in April 1920.rnTo be more precise, April 1920 marked the date when The Motor Ship and Motor Boat became, The Motor Ship and The Motor Boat- the latter is also still being published, as Motor Boat & Yachting, and coincidentally is the magazine on which I cut my maritime journalistic teeth.
