WIDENING OUR IGE IMPACT

As the first goal of the 2025 SAME Strategic Plan, strengthening industry-government engagement continues to be a focus for Society leadership. Notably, that includes investing in the Communities of Interest (COIs). These groups are an incredible pool of technical expertise and offer a forum where members can engage directly with others in their professional discipline, such as facility asset management, environmental, resilience, and architecture, or in their socio-economic demographic, such as small business, young professional, and enlisted. Throughout the past year, COIs have ramped up the frequency of webinars they have held and are being encouraged to more directly support Posts with programmatic content and speakers. They also continue to help develop the education and training sessions for national events and serve as the lead point of contact for executing most of SAME's strategic partnerships. This spring, one of the ways COIs are working to deliver more value is the launch of tailored sub-editions of the Real TiME newsletter. This is starting with the Environmental COI, Small Business COI, Enlisted COI, and Facility Asset Management COI.
