A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE

The newest facility at the U.S. Army Engineer Research & Development Center's Information Technology Laboratory (ERDC-ITL) makes one feel like they have traveled forward in time. Named the Dynamic Immersive Virtual Environment (DIVE), the laboratory allows researchers to test and develop solutions for the Department of Defense using leading augmented and virtual reality gear. The rise of this technology has already changed the way people work and learn, and now it will be utilized to allow Army engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to immerse themselves in true scale, 3D environments.
