摘要

Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NAVFAC ESC) personnel are lending their technical expertise to the Joint Forces Command and the U.S. Hy-drogeologic Team as they identify and develop new water sources for drought-stricken residents in the Horn of Africa. The Water Resource Project is a $2.8 million humanitarian effort supervised by the Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA). The project supplies aid to Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and other African nations hard hit by famine, natural disasters and a lack of dependable water sources.
