Solar Window Film Aids Cooling At Pearl Harbor

Hawaii, NAVFAC looked for low-energy ways to improve temperature control at the base. Solar window films are composed of an optically-clear, micro-layered polyester film. An adhesive mounting layer and protective release liner are applied to the side of the film to be attached to the window. To apply, the liner is removed and the adhesive is applied to the interior of the window.
