Aof Golden Eagle Awards Recipients Announced

Same is honored to announce the recipients of the 2009 Golden Eagle Awards: 1. Lt. Gen. Julius W. Becton, USA (Ret.), is the Golden Eagle Award recipient for contributions to national security; and 2. Rear Adm. Jack Buffington, P.E., F.SAME, USN (Ret.), is the Golden Eagle Award recipient for contributions to the engineering profession. The 2009 SAME Academy of Fellows Golden Eagle Awards Dinner will be held March 27 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Va. Registration for the event will open mid January. The 2009 Golden Eagle Awards Dinner will include a cocktail reception with an open bar, a three-course dinner and entertainment, as well as the evening's highlight: presentation of the prestigious Golden Eagle Awards.
