SEISMIC-ACOUSTIC IMPACT MONITOR- ING AND ASSESSMENT SYSTEM FOR MILITARY FIRING RANGES

The Seismic-Acoustic Impact Monitoring and Assessment (SAIMA) System provides a real-time range military projectile monitoring system to determine both the status (exploded or dud) and location of ordnance impacts for range maintenance, sustainability and future liability reduction. SAIMA provides the capability to maintain military ranges at unexploded ordnance (UXO) zero net gain status. This will minimize range downtime and prevent range closures due to contamination from UXO buildup.
