Radiation -we provided strong representation at a recent meeting in Frankfurt to further discuss draft IFALPA policy on occupational exposure of aircrew to radiation. This draft policy has now been agreed and will be forwarded to the IFALPA conference for ratification. We have recently provided two articles for The Log on radiation which will also be made available on the website. LASERS-whilstto date there have been no reports of permanent eye Our recent annual meeting at the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) in Farnborough has highlighted a number of issues. Firstly, a plea directly from the AAIB. Can all crews please familiarise themselves with the location of CVR circuit breakers.There are still a number of incidents they are involved with each year where, due to varying reasons, the CVR c/b is not pulled, overwriting all data useful to the investigation process. Very often this data can help crews' recollection of events, post incident, and is moreover a fundamental part of the investigative procedure.
