While going round the Bovingdon (or, for our colonial colleagues, Bovvington) hold the other day, I started tnmkmg about now mucn time I spent orbiting Heathrow waiting for my turn to land. So, on the back of a fag packet -(actually a spare bit of paper because smoking is so anti-social), I did some rough calculations. Assuming flying about 18 days a month, means I do about (conservatively) 44 sectors. Knowing that I always end up at home at the end of a trip, means that half of them must be into Heathrow as I always start from there.
