Zaha's Mobile Venue

The end of April saw the opening of a new arts venue outside the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris. The Mobile Art Pavilion, a fluid, organic structure designed by architect Zaha Hadid, is showing an exhibition of Hadid's work until the autumn. For this exhibition, Zumtobel designed and provided a lighting solution matching the building's organic look, using Arcos LED spotlights, specially developed for art applications, and minimalist LED spots from the multi-functional Supersystem lighting range. The colour temperature of the DALI-controlled Arcos LED spotlights can be continuously adjusted within a range between 2700K and 6500K.The luminaires are mounted on black guide rails and blend perfectly into the interior structure. Thus, light becomes a creative element in the Mobile Art Pavilion, escorting visitors during their fascinating exploration of the interplay of form, logic, sensuousness and emotion.
