Innovation is recognised as one of the best ways for an economy or organisation to add value to its activities and grow. It is commonly defined as 'taking an idea to market' and involves identifying an opportunity, creating something new or novel which meets the needs of the target market and, most important, establishing a route to that market. This process is often described as a creative cycle,which involves the following steps: observation, analysis, idea generation,idea enhancement, and implementation.
