Local authorities, asset owners and maintenance contractors here in New Zealand are using results of Lux Mapping surveys tor the following street lighting management tasks: 1. Provision of KPI for performance-based contracts 2. Quick assessment of the current lux levels and prioritisation of the lighting upgrades. Collected lux data are exported to the client's asset management software for further evaluation using GIS applications for creation of customised, colour-coded or heat-type maps.
