摘要

Specifically, this session will address housing problems and homelessness facing low-income older adults, including an examination of how older adults become homeless and what housing options are, or are not, available.Program and policy challenges and opportunities regarding homelessness among older adults will be explored using the case study of HEARTH, Inc. in Boston, MA.This session will provide an analysis of the challenges and effectiveness of strategies tried over the last decade to better link housing and services to meet the needs of an increasing number of frail older persons, and discuss current, local strategies to link housing and services and create communities that can support those most at risk.
