Marks, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI Guided by a biopsychosocial approach to health theoretical framework, this study aimed to add to a population perspective on caregiving for a parent and health-related biomarkers that indicate health risks of caregiving by examining (1) whether parent caregivers are different from noncaregivers on multiple biomarker factors associated with health vulnerability and (2) whether the profile of associations between parent caregiving and health-related biomarkers is similar for women and men.
