Shared grievances tend to be situated around the doctor/patient relationship, the values associated with managed care, negative experiences with pharmaceuticals, and the confusion over diagnosis.Even in cases where the desired empirical effects of anti-aging medicine were not realized people consistently framed the opportunity to use these technologies favorably.By contextualizing people's use of anti-aging medicine within their lifelong health and illness "careers," four overlapping "identity constructs" emerge which serve to help people make sense of past and present experiences, offering broader implications for the way people see the world.
