"I saw the notice about it in The Engineers Journal and this prompted me to attend the course. I liked the fact that it ran over only three nights and it seemed like an ideal opportunity to learn new skills in a positive, encouraging environment. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The instructors were extremely supportive and as the group was small, with engineers of similar age, it was easier to speak in front of the group. One particular week we prepared two speeches and I found this difficult. In addition, standing up and giving your speech each week was a challenge. I didn't know anyone attending but I didn't find this to be a barrier. It was interesting to discuss what the other young engineers were working on.
