Engineering and Technology Champions Programme 2009

The Engineering and Technology Champions Programme 2009 kicks off this month with schools all over Ireland getting ready for a visit from an engineering and technology champion. The programme is aimed towards transition year to 6th year students, and aims to increase the uptake of careers in engineering and technology by sending enthusiastic industry volunteers into schools to speak about the diversity of engineering or technology as a career. Our engineering and technology champions are dynamic and enthusiastic, and most have a background in engineering or computer science. All champions receive support material and a powerpoint presentation to assist them in delivering the programme.
