BIOGRAPHY COLLECTION TO INSPIRE NEW GENERATIONS OF ENGINEERS

The three volumes present us with the lives of 55 notable engineers, innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs who in their careers throughout the 19th and 20th centuries made Ulster, and particularly Belfast, renowned for engineering and manufacturing. Many of those whose lives and work are recorded were not of Ulster birth but they are included because much of their life's work and fame arises from their work in the province.
