Graphene adds to helmet safety and comfort

Italian design company Momodesign has developed a graphene-coated motorcycle helmet claimed to both increase rider protection and enhance user comfort. Created in partnership with the Italian Institute of Technology (NT), the helmet is part of the EU's €1 bn ($1.06bn) Graphene Flagship project, billed as Europe's biggest research initiative to date.
