While Republican hostility to his climate agenda is likely to intensify, President Obama said Wednesday the GOP takeover of the House does not mean that significant legislative progress cannot be made on energy policy, citing development of U.S. natural gas resources, nuclear power expansion and deployment of electric vehicles as areas where there is substantial bipartisan support for new federal action.
