Sempra joins growing list of new FERC LNG export applicants

Sempra Energy Monday requested that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commis­sion begin a pre-filing review of the com­pany’s Port Arthur LNG export facility in Texas, the latest of several applications for large LNG export projects that FERC has received in recent weeks despite fall­ing prices and other challenges facing po­tential LNG exporters.
