Interior approves two big clean energy lines planned in West

Completing years of environmental review on projects critical to the Obama administration’s push to expand clean energy deployment in the West, the Interior Department Tuesday approved two long-haul power line projects developed in consultation with several states to bring to market some 4,500 megawatts of wind and solar resources across the Rocky Mountain region, desert Southwest and California.
