EU waters down biofuels plan

Biofuels' indirect land-use change impacts will be ignored for compliance purposes under European Commission plans. The European Commission has weakened plans to address the potential indirect land use change (ILUC) impacts of biofuels, say ing firms will not have to take account of the issue until at least 2021.
