The High Court's rejection of a council's plans to set a buffer zone between wind turbines and homes in mid-May is unlikely to end rows over the practice. The court ruled that Milton Keynes Borough Council's attempt to ban wind turbines within its borders - in effect - was illegal. But the judgment was made on a technicality and the council could still adopt strict separation distances. Several other councils implementing such policies have told ENDS they are unconcerned about the ruling.
