Neonic insecticide reapproved as NFU seeks emergency use

A three-year extension to authorisation of the neonicotinoid insecticide imida-cloprid has been granted by the European Commission while it considers a full ban. Legislation implementing the decision was passed on 3 February and approved the following day.
